We organized a birthday function at Gorkha Palace. It was a Tuesday evening and we were in a group of 8. We ordered different varieties of Nepalese cuisine such as Newari Khaja set, chowmein, Momo platter, Palak Paneer, Naan and many more. The taste of every dishes were delicious and yummy. The service was quiet late but was okay since we had time to gossip. We also tried some drinks but local wine was the best. Moreover, the manager himself joined in the celebration and we shared a piece of cake. I can't wait to visit it again. Best Nepalese restaurant in Sydney.

My wife and I drive past here every week, and we had been curious as to how good this place is. We were en route to an Indian place in the Upper North Shore on a Saturday around 6:30pm, when it caught our eye again, so we decided to be adventurous and try it. When we enter it appeared quiet, with about 4 tables occupied. Nice atmosphere, although simply decorated and with very modest, yet clean, outdoor-accessed bathrooms. We found the waitress to be excellent - pleasant, professional and not overly inquisitive about our enjoyment of the food mid-dinner. We had the Gorkha Palace Fish Curry and the Lamb Roghanjosh, with Jasmin rice. My wife had a Garlic Naan and I had the Cheese Garlic Naan. The food was out very quickly. The curries were extremely good - I'd rate both around an 8.5/10. However, my favourite was the Cheese Garlic Naan, which I thought was probably the best naan I've ever tasted - high praise as I'm pretty picky with roti/naan. At the end of the meal, we were both glad we had stopped, finding yet another Sydney culinary gem, especially as it doesn't look like much from the outside. Due to the outstanding quality of the food, even when compared to much more expensive, lavish and well-located restaurants, I’m giving this a 4.
We can see the differences , with new management they have better quality foods and better and prompt services , the momo platter was very delicious , butter chicken was winner with nutty and creamy smoked flavours along with the their own spiced red wine. Definately will see you soon
